National Convention Grants
Mu Alpha Theta will award Convention Grants to the
2008 Sacramento, CAL Convention. Each Grant provides two free registrations
and up to $250 in reimbursed travel expenses each, for a sponsor and
a non-senior student to attend the National Convention. To be eligible
for a Grant, a Mu Alpha Theta chapter cannot have attended a National
Convention for the three prior years. No chapter that has previously
been awarded a Grant may apply.
To apply for a Grant, complete the Application,
which consists of the
names of the applicants and two paragraphs about the activities your
Chapter has participated in during the past year and how attending the
National Mu Alpha Theta Convention will benefit your Chapter. Send the
application by April 1 to:

It is our hope to choose a school from each Mu Alpha Theta Region
to participate.Schools selected will be contacted before the end of
April by phone and email. The only responsibility of the winners is
to fill out a survey at the Convention regarding their experiences.
Applying schools should be ready to submit enrollment forms that need
to be postmarked by May 15, should they be selected. Winners of the
grants are encouraged to bring more than one student. The expenses of
the additional students will not be covered by Mu Alpha Theta. Please
realize that deposits for the early-bird price for additional people
attending will need to be submitted by the April 1 deadline, so get your
application in soon.
