In 1996, Mu Alpha Theta established the Mu Alpha Theta Educational Foundation to support
the educational activities of Mu Alpha Theta. Over the years, this 501 (c) (3) non profit
organization has accepted both monetary and product donations to reduce the cost of the
National Convention and to award as prizes, scholarships, and grants to deserving mathematics
students, Mu Alpha Theta sponsors and chapters. The Foundation is directed by the Governing
Council of Mu Alpha Theta and you can view its By-Laws here
In order to fulfill our mission, the Foundation must derive one third of its support from public donations.
